At Computex 2025, we saw a new AmpereOne motherboard, the ASRock AMPONEMD12DNO. We were told this is still an early board, and it looks like it, but at least it is showing a new AmpereOne M platform as those have been few and far between.

The motherboard itself is an OCP M-DNO Type 2 motherboard so 210mm x 305.59mm.

The placard next to the motherboard says that there are 8 DDR5 DIMM slots but we can clearly see 12 DDR5 RDIMM slots onboard.

On the front edge, there are eight MCIO connectors.

At the top of the display motherboard, we have unpopulated connection points for both an OCP NIC 3.0 for networking as well as a DC-SCM module for management. Those connectors may look strange, but they are intended to be populated with the edge connectors for OCP NICs and DC-SCM modules. This is just a very early board being shown.

M-DNO is largely standardized to allow hyper-scalers to swap CPUs between different vendors but maintain the same chassis. As a result, we see two standard MXIO connectors for PCIe Gen5 x16.
Onboard, there is also the Ampere logo as well as the Mt. Langbiang name. Our sense is this is named after Mt. Lang Biang in Vietnam. Also, that would make it part of the Ampere Mt. Adams reference platform.
Final Words
This is probably not a motherboard we would get excited about purchasing in Q2 2025 as it appears to be further out. Still, it is exciting to see new motherboards for AmpereOne hit the market. While we were walking the floor, Ampere folks were talking about their next-generation with 16 memory channels. You can see that there is still a bit more room on this OCP motherboard to go wider.
